The SST 5136-PFB-VME is a programmable interface card that allows an application running on a VMEbus host computer to communicate with ProfiBus Networks using Profibus DP and FDL. The card is 6U height and P1 compatible, has a data transfer rate of up to 160 MB/s, and requires a +5V DC, 1.5A power supply. The card interfaces with the host processor through shared memory and can be used to exchange all I/O data at 1.544 Megabits/second without any loading of the host CPU .
