All IGCTs (Integrated Gate Converter Thyristors) of Hitachi ABB power grid are pressure pack equipment. They press against the heat sink with relatively high force, 

and the heat sink also serves as an electrical contact for the power terminal.

· The on/off control unit of IGCT is an integral part of this component. It only requires an external power supply, and its control functions can be easily accessed through 

fiber optic connections. The control power consumption of this device is usually between 10-100W.

· IGCT has been optimized for low conduction losses, with on/off switch frequencies within the range of 500 Hz. Compared with GTO, the upper limit of switching frequency 

is only limited by the operating heat loss and system heat dissipation capacity. This function, combined with the fast switching between the on and off states of the device, 

achieves short switching pulse trains with a switching frequency of up to 40kHz.

· IGCT requires a conduction protection network (essentially an inductor) to limit the speed of current rise, and switching off the protection network is optional compared to 

GTO.
