GE 8507-BI-DP | Bus Interface Module

GE 8507-BI-DP bus interface module (BIM) provides communication links between PAC8000, series I/O modules, and PROFIBUS-DP hosts.

· Module and LAN high-speed data collection

· The operating speed of up to 12Mbaud enables the host to quickly respond to changes in process conditions.

· BIM collects data from I/O modules and provides it to the host as required.

· And the cyclic data exchange required for reading input and writing

· BIM supports PROFIBUS extended diagnostics to obtain status information.

· BIM must be used in conjunction with the 8701-CA-BI redundant BIM carrier as described on page 4.

· Redundant BIM can be used for critical applications.

· Each BIM in the redundant pair runs in parallel,
